- Pool Tables Continued -
To keep your Pool Table Cloth from needing replaced, make sure to use good chalk etiquette to keep chalk off of the pool table cloth. It can damage the cloth over time by the balls rolling and carrying chalk with them. The balls will also cut the microfibers in the cloth, eventually giving it a fuzzy feel.
When you chalk your cue, make sure to hold it away from the pool table. After you are done, wipe any chalk off of your hands and off of the Cue Stick shaft and ferrule. You should also be careful about putting the chalk on the side of the table. If it is set down too hard or knocked onto the table, the excess chalk will splatter across the cloth. Keeping chalk off of your pool table will prolong it's life.
